City Attorney Paul Webb was born in Texarkana, Arkansas and raised in El Campo, Texas.  He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas.  Paul has practiced law in Wharton, Texas, since 1975, has represented a wide variety of clients, primarily in Wharton County and the surrounding counties.  He now handles a wide variety of issues dealing with real estate, wills and probate, contracts, municipal law of which he has been the City Attorney for the City of Wharton since June 1993.  Paul is a member of the Texas Bar Association, has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas.  He is a lifetime member of the Texas Family Law Foundation, is past President of the Wharton County Bar Association and is a member of the Texas City Attorney's Association.

Amy Rod serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Wharton.  Amy is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Wharton County Bar Association (past President), the Matagorda County Bar Association, the Texas City Attorney's Association, the Texas Family Law Foundation, and the Texas Association of Family Law Specialists.  She is Board Certified in the practice of Family Law.

Along with her duties as Assistant City Attorney for Wharton, Amy also serves as the Municipal Prosecutor for the City of East Bernard.

Amy was born in Wharton and graduated with honors from El Campo High School.  After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice summa cum laude from Sam Houston State University, Amy received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 2000.

Amy is married to Scott Rod and has two children, Bryn and Brock.
